Willy’s World Famous Wing Sauce
Willy’s World Famous Wing Sauce
This is the sauce that started it all. I am happy to share this with you as a way to bring your people together around one of my favorite foods of all time, wings!! For an extra spicy kick, go with a bigger Cholula bottle. Enjoy!
Prep time: 10 min
Ingredients:
- One 23 oz bottle of Frank’s Red Hot Original
- One 5 oz bottle of Cholula Original
- Half a stick of butter, (4 tbsp)
- 1/4 Cup of chopped Cilantro
- 1/4 Finely Chopped Onion
- 2 Cloves of Finely Chopped/Minced Garlic
- 1 TBSP of Lemon Pepper
- 1 TBSP of Garlic Powder
- 1 TBSP of Parmesan
- 4 Quart Pot
Instructions:
In the Pot:
- Melt the butter on a 4qt pot over low heat and sautee the onion and garlic until soft.
- Pour all the sauces and spices in with the butter and mix it together
- Heat on medium and stir until it starts bubbling and reaches a low boil
- Let cool and toss over finished wings or meat if your choosing.
In the microwave:
- Melt the butter in the microwave in a loosely covered container for about a minute.
- Place the sauces, onion, garlic, and spices in with the butter and mix it all together
- Put the mixture back in the microwave, covered, for 2 minutes on high, or until slightly bubbling, then stir. Nuke it again if the Parmesan hasn't melted down a bit.
- Let cool and toss over finished wings
Optional - Blend the sauce afterwards to achieve a smooth and chunkless consistency.
